2002 Dodge Viper RT/10
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 2002 Dodge Viper RT/10. With just three owners from new and right at 10,000 original miles, this Viper is a case study in originality and preservation. Totally original inside and out, including fully original paint and original tires. This example is blemish free aside from one small chip (smaller than a nickel) on the lower front left corner of the air dam. Original wheels are in excellent condition with no curb rash and are still wearing their original Michelins with 2002 date codes. Needless to say with only 10,000 miles there is plenty of tread remaining, but anyone wishing to undertake spirited driving would be advised to replace the tires (we can accommodate this as part of the sale, if desired).
The interior likewise presents as you would expect for a garage-kept, 10,000-mile specimen -- there is little to no wear showing on the leather seating surfaces, the steering wheel or dash. The only item to address is that the headliner has begun to separate and sag from the hard top. The color-matched hard top, folding fabric toupette and factory tonneau cover are all in excellent condition (and come complete with their carrying bags and instructions).
The Viper was designed with an "engine first" mentality, which is evident from the moment you turn the key and fire up the all-aluminum 8.0 liter V10 designed in partnership with Lamborghini. Factory rated at 450 horsepower, even by today's standards this car offers a blistering performance with a 4.0 second 0-60 time (along with a top speed of 185 mph). The Borg Warner T-56 six-speed manual transmission is the perfect complement for getting power to the rear axle -- the clutch and gearbox feel great. An oil service was completed last month in preparation for the sale.
If you like your sports cars raw without interference from electronic nannies (aka "driver aids"), then you'll be right at home in a Viper...although by 2002 it did come equipped with safety features such as airbags and anti-lock brakes (but not traction control, mind you).
