1975 Land Rover Series III 109

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1975 Land Rover Series III 109. This Land Rover has an interesting history and has been extensively restored and upgraded. It was purchased by the present owner, a foreign service officer, while stationed in Zimbabwe in 2017. It was driven daily and repainted under current ownership in Africa before later being exported to the US when the owner returned home.

Subsequent restoration work and upgrades were carried out by Sarek Autowerke in Virginia. This included a new galvanized chassis, a rebuilt 4.6 liter Rover V8 with Holley Sniper fuel injection, Discovery axles with four-wheel power disk brakes, rebuilt ZF automatic transmission, modern HVAC with cold A/C, Old Man Emu suspension, BF Goodrich Mud Terrains on steel 16-inch wheels, modern stereo and more. The interior was fitted with Exmoor seats, floor liner and door panels along with a locking center console and custom rear storage

This Series III has been driven approximately 8,000 miles since the restoration was completed, including a few cross-country trips. It is essentially like driving a Discovery or Range Rover classic wrapped in vintage bodywork -- the V8 makes plenty of power and with sound deadening and working A/C it can be driven comfortably on the highway for extended periods. One would be hard pressed to duplicate this truck for anything close to the asking price (indeed our client estimates that over $90,000 has been invested on the build).
