1977 International Harvester Scout II
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1977 International Scout II, a restored and well-optioned 4x4 with V8, automatic, power steering and power disk brakes. Finished in forest green metallic with a matte black rallye stripe and accents, this truck recently underwent a frame-off restoration plus an extensive mechanical refurbishment. Powder-coated GRC bumpers, an SSII grille and 33x12.50 mud tires on 17-inch Mickey Thompson wheels (plus a four inch lift) give this Scout an aggressive look (not to mention serious off-road bona fides). LED lighting provides significantly improved nighttime visibility.
The interior is finished in new "Russet" plaid seat upholstery on factory high-back buckets for the front with a factory bench seat in the rear. Floors are crisp and clean and have been rhino-lined for all-season durability. All gauges, switches, etc. are working properly and both the courtesy and instrument lights have been upgraded to LED. A modern AM/FM/CD stereo with USB and aux input plus a wood steering wheel are nice finishing touches.
Under the hood is a 345 cubic inch V8 mated to a TorqueFlite 727 automatic transmission. All major mechanical systems were addressed during the restoration, including a complete engine reseal and both a transmission and transfer case overhaul, plus a new radiator, heater core, fuel pump, alternator, rebuilt steering gear, brake master cylinder, driveshaft rebuilt, pertronix electronic ignition and a new Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. This Scout starts easily and runs and drives well.
