1930 Chevrolet Roadster

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1930 Chevrolet Roadster. From the estate of a family friend, the late owner acquired this car out of Texas in the late 1980s or early 1990s soon after a restoration carried out to a very nice standard. Garaged and driven sparingly, this example has help up quite well -- chrome is nearly perfect and the paint retains a nice shine; minor crazing is present in a few spots. Complete canvas set including convertible top, side curtains, boot cover spare tire cover and storage bag. Wire wheels in good condition are wearing Firestones with plenty of tread and no sidewall cracks. Interior presents well with door panels and seat upholstery in a tasteful light brown leatherette. All gauges and switches are working.

Chevrolet was the first automaker to offer a six-cylinder engine in a price range average consumers could afford. We are impressed with how smooth this overhead valve engine is relative to the flathead four cylinder of a contemporary Model A. This Chevy starts easily and runs and drives well -- engine, transmission, gearbox steering and brakes are all performing as they should.

An original 1930 owner's manual, a reproduction 1930 repair manual, and a 1970 South Carolina title with the engine number as the VIN are included with the sale. This vehicle is sold on a current Georgia non-title registration in our dealership's name (with the car number as the VIN).
