1986 Chevrolet K5 Blazer
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1986 Chevrolet K5 Blazer. It's not very often that we come across a nice, clean, preserved K5 Silverado -- so many of them were abused or rusted away years ago. This truck is the exception; it was clearly cared for and kept out of the dirt and snow over the past 34 years. Finished in white over red velour interior, it shows to a nice standard throughout. 32-inch Cooper Discoverer all terrain tires were recently installed on 15-inch alloy wheels.
The interior is particularly nice with a crack-free dash and virtually no wear on the original upholstery. A period flip up center seat/console is a nice touch. All gauges work and the A/C blows cold; power rear window works properly with both the in-dash and key switches. This one has not been heavily modified and we doubt that the hard top has ever been removed -- but it does come off it you prefer open air motoring or or a soft top.
Originally equipped with a 305, a GM 350 crate engine was installed in 2013. The small-block V8 runs well and is fed through an Edelbrock aluminum intake and four-barrel carburetor; it's mated to a 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission and manual transfer case for four-wheel drive engagement. It retains its original owners manual and option code sticker in the glovebox. A rare opportunity for a nicely preserved K5 Blazer and an interesting alternative to our typical Scout and Bronco offerings at an attractive price point.
