1967 Ford Mustang Convertible

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1967 Ford Mustang convertible restomod, built with a priority on reliability, performance and comfort. Finished in the classic combination of Candyapple red over parchment interior, an extensive list of upgrades were completed only 7,000 miles ago -- including new upholstery, seat foam, carpet, insulation, canvas convertible top and rebuilt powercoated top frame. New deluxe console, floor mats, door panels and armrests. A Classic Auto Air A/C system was fitted which utilizes the factory-style controls. Dakota digital gauges (these look and work great), RetroSound stereo, LED headlights and a trunk dress up kit round out the package.

This Mustang goes, turns and stops far better than when it left the factory in Metuchen. The 289 V8 was refreshed with an S-drive serpentine setup, high output alternator, new A/C compressor, power steering pump, billet timing cover, high performance water pump, True Roller timing chain and sprockets and much more. It was fitted with FiTech fuel injection atop an Edlebrock performance manifold. Performance is very good and power is delivered through a smooth shifting C4 automatic.

A lot of thought was put into the chassis and suspension setup -- Global West coilovers, tubular control arms, Viking adjustable shocks, performance front sway bay, strut rods and bushings. Global West subframe connectors were welded in and a Shelby Style export brace and Monte-Carlo bar were installed. It has been converted to rack and pinion steering and sports four-wheel disc brakes behind the factory style wheels.

Paint and body are finished to a driver standard and were not addressed during the recent upgrades -- but it presents well overall and was built to be driven and enjoyed. This represents an excellent value and could not be duplicated for the asking price.
