1970 International Scout 800A

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1970 International Harvester Scout 800A, a very honest and original survivor optioned with a desirable 304 cubic inch V8. This Scout is wearing mostly original paint and has acquired a great patina -- there are a few battle scars here and there, along with some superficial rust, but the bones are good and it's structurally sound. Black 16-inch steel wheels are fitted with new BF Goodrich all terrains.

Interior is mostly stock with black seat upholstery in good condition; custom-cut rubber mats line the front and rear floors. The only updates are a locking center console with armrest and cupholders, along with a new set of gauges that match the appearance of the originals. Factory AM radio powers on and lights up but emits no sound. Turn signals, headlights, tail light and brake lights are all working as are the wipers (which have been converted from vacuum to electric motors).

Under the hood is International Harvester's 304 cubic inch V8, a rare and sought-after engine for the first-generation Scout (most of which were equipped with four cylinders). Starts easily, runs well and makes good power. Three-speed floor-shift manual transmission plus four-wheel drive. This is a great truck to enjoy as is at an attractive price point, or an excellent starting point to build the Scout 800 of your dreams.
