1979 International Scout II

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1979 International Scout II. Finished in Copper Metallic, this truck is a nice driver with good options including a V8, automatic transmission, power steering and power brakes (front disk). Paint is driver quality with no bubbles and no known rust issues. The truck has a Softopper soft top -- the side and rear windows can either roll up or unzip completely in nice weather (or the entire top can be disassembled and folded down, as in the photos). Floor pans, rockers and cab supports are original and very solid; glass, trim, grille and rubber are all in nice driver condition. 33x12.50 BF Goodrich mud terrain tires on alloy wheels (and a four-inch Skyjacker suspension lift) give this Scout a great look and a mean stance.

The interior is clad in desirable Russet plaid. Door panels and seat upholstery are in good original condition; the vinyl floor covering is newer. All of the gauges, switches, indicators and lights are working -- and there's a modern Bluetooth-enabled stereo with aux and USB inputs fitted in the dash. The dash pad is nice with no cracks; paint in the door jambs and on the inside of the doors is original and showing some patina, but we like the fact that it's original paint.

Under the hood is a 345 cubic inch V8 with a four-barrel carb; it's mated to a TorqueFlite 727 three-speed automatic transmission. Additional factory options include power steering and power front disc brakes. Air conditioning system has all of its components intact but is not blowing cold. The truck starts, runs, shifts and drives well, and both the steering and brakes feel just as they should. It's still wearing original paint under the hood.
