Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this stunning 1988 BMW M6. This E24 M6 is a two-owner car with only 69,000 miles from new. It was originally sold by Heritage BMW in Macon, Georgia, to a physician in Birmingham, Alabama, who owned it until 2014. It then moved to Atlanta where it has been with the current owner for the last five years.
We have service records dating to new along with the original sales invoice -- it was almost exclusively dealer serviced for the first 20 years of its life and has been cared for by marque specialists since. Upon taking delivery in 2014 the current owner has taken a "no expense spared" approach and has invested over $40,000 in a mechanical and cosmetic restoration -- including a $14,000 repaint in correct Schwarz (black). Further professional detailing has taken this E24 to a concours standard; a clear bra has been applied to the nose and air dam to protect against rock chips. The three-piece BBS wheels were custom built and the 17-inch staggered setup allows for easy tire fitment -- they are wearing nearly new Michelins.
The interior is in beautiful condition with soft leather and original materials, that like the exterior, have been detailed to a show standard. A high-end stereo was professionally installed but the original cassette radio is included. A LoJack vehicle recovery system is installed but has not been activated.
Nearly every mechanical system has been addressed including the cooling system, engine reseal, clutch, A/C system, suspension, brakes, power steering and more. A Conforti chip and Supersprint exhaust have been added for performance.
