1969 Chevrolet Corvette

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1969 Chevrolet Corvette 427/390 (L36) four-speed, an exquisitely restored and remarkably well-documented, numbers-matching example with ownership and service history dating to new. Finished in correct Lemans Blue over black interior, fiberglass and paint are excellent as are bumpers, trim, lenses, glass, etc. As part of the frame-off restoration the interior was also re-done with all new soft parts. The car shows beautifully inside and out and never fails to turn heads.

Under the hood is a 427 cubic inch V8, rated at 390 horsepower, mated to a four-speed close-ratio manual transmission -- both the engine and transmission are the original, numbers-matching units. Optioned with power steering, power disk brakes and a positraction rear-end; all drivetrain, mechanical and suspension components were rebuilt during the restoration. This is a highly correct car with the proper casting numbers on the heads, water pump, intake, exhaust manifolds, rear-end, alternator, etc.

With big-block power and the four-speed manual transmission, this car is incredibly fun to drive. Engine performance, clutch, gearbox, steering and brakes all feel factory fresh. Original dealer invoice (plus the retail invoice for the original owner) and the factory build sheet from the gas tank are included in a binder along with decades of records and photos.
