1965 International Scout 80

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1965 International Scout 80. Finished in turquoise metallic with a white half-cab hard top, it's an attractive and unmolested example that never fails to turn heads. Introduced in 1960 as part of International Harvester's Light Line of passenger trucks, the format proved popular (and many say that Ford borrowed liberally from IH's design for its first-generation Bronco which debuted in 1966). Original, unmodified trucks like this one are increasingly difficult to find.

Nice paint and body with good gaps. Truck bed and interior floors have been finished with a color-matched bedliner material. Seats have been reupholstered in light grey vinyl; steel dash and door panels are in good condition. All gauges are working (including backlights and vintage tachometer mounted on the steering column). About the only thing not original is the modern stereo, with speakers mounted in the sides of the center console.

Under the hood is IH's trusty 152 cubic inch four-cylinder mated to a three-speed manual transmission -- and this is only Scout 80 we've seen with an overdrive (the lever to the right of the gear shift is the overdrive control). Four-wheel drive with twin-stick transfer case. Steering, brakes, clutch, gearbox, etc. all feel as they should -- this Scout starts, runs and drives great.

An unrestored full hard top is also available as part of the sale. For more information about this 1965 International Scout 80 for sale at Motorcar Studio in Atlanta, please call 404-692-5250.
