Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1958 BMW Isetta 250. The Isetta is the microcar against which all other microcars are measured -- and the iconic design is instantly recognizable and always popular. This example, available for sale in the United States for the first time, is being offered from the Bruce Weiner Microcar Collection. A well-documented car with decades' worth of service and restoration records (mostly in German), it's finished in correct Coral Red with white accents over a red and grey interior.
The odometer shows 43,000 kilometers. In 1998 this Isetta underwent a cosmetic restoration by a specialist in Germany, Gosbert von Brunn, at a cost of over 15,000 Euros. The finish quality remains top notch as it has been lovingly cared for since completion. Runs and drives well (see video) and is certainly one of the easier microcars to drive. Records also indicate that this BMW saw a full tune up and service in 2012 before being imported to the U.S. Along with the maintenance records, a BMW heritage certificate and original German registration (fahrzeugbrief) are included.
