1985 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4x4

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this low-mileage 1985 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4x4. This 4Runner is a true survivor with only 77,000 original miles, no accident history, no rust and original paint. 1985 is arguably the most desirable year for first-generation 4Runners as it was the only year with both the fuel injected 22R-E engine AND a solid front axle. The SR5 trim means comfortable interior appointments, power windows, AM/FM Cassette with equalizer, A/C, sunroof, tilt wheel, intermittent wipers and more.

This example is all stock except for a new, powder-coated rear bumper and new, slightly larger 31-inch BF Goodrich all terrain tires. The original paint shows well -- it has a little patina and a few touch-ups as you would expect for a 33 year old truck but looks great overall. The interior is one of the best we have seen in years with very little wear on the original surfaces. We love the SR5 script in the seat inserts and the cool 1980s vinyl graphics on the hood and sides. Body panels, floors and frame rails are all original with no rust or previous rust repairs noted. And yes, the hard top is removable.

The engine makes good power and the five-speed transmission is a plus -- we hate to admit it but this 4Runner drives better and feels a lot faster than a 1980s Land Cruiser FJ60 (and the top comes off). Everything seems to be in working order except for the cruise control and the switch for the rear window the rear window does operate properly with the key). The owner's manual, original key, tool kit and sunroof shade are included.
