1965 Porsche 356 SC

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1965 Porsche 356 SC
Coupe. We love a car with a story, and this car has a great one -- the current
owner set out to buy a Triumph in 1972 and instead came home with this seven-year-old
356 from an Atlanta car dealer.  After 45
years of ownership, the time has come to find it a new home. 

Used in its early years as a daily driver, the owner
commissioned a restoration in 1996 by Jack Lewis in Atlanta and it has been
driven approximately 25,000 miles since. It has 146,000 original miles and is
being sold on its 1972-issued Georgia title.

Finished in correct and attractive Dolphin Grey over blue
interior with grey square-weave carpet. The 1996 restoration included a repaint
in the original color, installation of a rebuilt engine, upholstery, minor body
work and floor pan replacement. The restoration is holding up well and shows to
a nice driver standard -- one can pick a few flaws and chips in the paint and
there is some patina to the chrome, but overall this 356 shows as an honest,
garage-kept car throughout. We found this Porsche to be a pleasure to drive and
mechanically sound; it's been serviced regularly by a Porsche specialist in the
Atlanta area with records. Additionally the Blaupunkt AM/FM is working, and both
the spare and jack are included. With disk brakes, adequate power and slightly
more refined interior than the early cars we find these 356C's to be ideal
touring cars and this one is well suited for road use or local shows. The owner
hopes to find it a new home with someone who can care for it for the next 45
years.
