1968 International Scout 800

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1968 International Harvester Scout 800. While we typically deal in restored Scouts (and mostly Scout IIs), we are regularly asked for trucks with good bones at a lower price points such as this one.

This 800 was used as a primary vehicle / daily driver for the previous owner until a longer commute and a child on the way necessitated the move to a more responsible choice. The body is straight and solid and the fairly recent “John Deere Green” paint looks good. Inside is all business but unmolested and it was recently fitted with a new Softopper full soft top. The 196ci four cylinder is mated to a three-speed on the floor and four wheel drive.

This Scout runs, drives and stops fine. It has new tires and we just installed a new turn-signal switch to ensure that all of the lights are working properly. This is an excellent opportunity for the new owner to address a few odds and ends and have a cool old truck without a big investment -- or it's an excellent start for a full custom build.
