Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1936 International Harvester hotrod / ratrod pickup truck. “Half Breed” marries the cab of an International and its distinct grille with a Dodge truck bed over a custom chassis. Timeless hotrod looks abound; the menacing flat black finish is set off by the yellow wheels and polished wood bed.
This build combines old-school looks with modern interior conveniences and the robust practicality of a Mopar slant-six engine. The interior has been trimmed out with a cloth bucket seat, new gauges and power windows. The slant-six provides more than adequate power and is connected to an automatic transmission (a TorqueFlite 727). The custom chassis has allowed for tubular A-arm front suspension with coilovers, rack and pinion steering and power disc brakes. The rear solid-axle is suspended by adjustable coilovers.
“Half Breed” drives better than expected thanks to good power and modern suspension in a relatively lightweight package. We are offering this International on behalf of the estate of its long-term owner/builder. The family just invested nearly $4000 with us to go through this vehicle and button up any loose ends and to make it turn-key for the next owner.
