1980 International Scout II Diesel
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1980 International Scout II Diesel. Clad in Concord Blue with a white Rallye stripe, a white hard top and alloy wheels, it's a nice driver with a great classic look. Bumpers, trim, grille and glass are all in good condition. There is a minor dent toward the front of the removable hard top thanks to a falling tree branch, but the body is otherwise straight and solid and there are no known rust issues. One repaint in the correct color, but original paint (with some patina) remains under the hood, in the door jambs, on the inside of the tailgate, etc.
The interior looks great; bench seats are covered with original tartan plaid upholstery. Dash, factory Rallye steering wheel, carpet and door panels are excellent. All gauges are working and the only deviation from stock is a Sony AM/FM/Cassette stereo.
Under the hood is a Nissan SD33T turbodiesel mated to a four-speed manual transmission. IH never manufactured a diesel engine small enough to fit into a Scout, so Nissan supplied the engines for diesel-powered Scouts from 1976 to 1980. Model years 1976-79 received a normally-aspirated diesel; 1980 was the only year for the turbodiesel.
