1984 Mercedes-Benz 500SEL

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1984 Mercedes Benz W126 500SEL. This example is finished in one of our favorite colors of the period -- Petrol Blue Green Metallic with grey trim and grey leather interior. This is a Euro-market vehicle that was imported via Switzerland and federalized in April of 1985, and it remained with the original owner for 30 years. It has been a reliable daily driver for the present owner since 2022.

As a Euro model it has more attractive bumpers and headlights than what was offered stateside -- and it is fitted with a high-compression 5.0 liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission making for quite a performance boost over US-market cars.

Recent service has included rear brakes, A/C work, new tie rods / center link, motor mounts, heater blower, belts and dash speakers. It runs and drives well with working climate control, power windows, sunroof and heated seats. Factory 14-inch Bundt wheels are wearing nearly full-tread tires. It is rust free and pretty dry underneath although it has a few cosmetic blemishes inside and out. A bluetooth stereo receiver is fitted. Matching spare, jack and original books are included.
