1980 International Harvester Scout II

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1980 International Harvester Scout II. This Scout is finished in white with the "waves" graphics package that was a factory option over blue russet plaid interior. It is an older restoration but is holding up well and it shows to a good driver standard throughout -- and has seen a number of recent upgrades.

Power comes from IH's 304 cubic inch V8 mated to a TorqueFlite 727 automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. Recent upgrades carried out by a Scout specialist at a cost of over $10,000 have included a 2.5-inch Rough Country lift with Nitro shocks, straight steer kit, 17-inch Deegan wheels with 32-inch BFG A/Ts, locking center console, four-point roll bar with three-point seatbelts front and rear, rear child seat latch bar, full interior bedliner and a number of other cosmetic upgrades. It is fitted with a very good condition Softopper soft top.

Paint quality is good overall but not show quality, the interior is clean and tidy with good factory style upholstery. The engine was rebuilt under current ownership and is nicely detailed; it has a new carburetor, tune up items and radiator. The body is in good condition with minimal rust -- there is some rust beginning in the front cab supports and there has been some previous repair in the floors. A modern bluetooth stereo is fitted in the dash. Overall this is a great truck to drive and enjoy with a cool look offered at an approachable price point.
