1974 Dodge Dart Swinger

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1974 Dodge Dart Swinger. This Dart has been with a long-term local owner and is showing 47,000 miles. It is finished in Burnt Sienna over cream interior with a matching vinyl roof. Power comes from a 318 ci V8 mated to a TorqueFlite 727 automatic transmission; it's equipped with front disk brakes, power steering and factory air conditioning.

The engine was rebuilt to 330 ci under current ownership and is fed by a Holley 750cfm carburetor. The transmission was rebuilt as well along with some suspension work. We are impressed by how well this Dart drives; the V8 pulls hard and is very smooth, the suspension and steering is tight and the chassis is remarkably poised and rattle free.

The paint (in the original color) has a nice shine over a straight body with good gaps -- there are a few bubbles under the vinyl top, on one of the trunk seams and in the rockers but overall it presents as a very honest car with excellent and original floors. The engine bay and trunk are clean and tidy.

The interior is in beautiful condition with nice dash, seats, carpet and wood appliqué. The factory air is intact but the compressor clutch is not working. A new windshield and gasket are included with the sale. This offers a unique alternative to other compact muscle cars of the era and thanks to a built engine and proper maintenance it drives better than many of its contemporaries.
