1963 Austin Mini Cooper Mark I

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this incredibly original Mk I 1963 Austin Mini Cooper. This Mini was manufactured in October of 1962 and originally delivered to Houston, Texas. We believe that it spent many years in the dry Southwest with old registrations placing it in Arizona and New Mexico before moving to Alabama where it was acquired by the current owner 12 years ago.

Remarkably, it retains its original paint with the exception of the roof which was repainted under current ownership. Body panels are original, straight and corrosion-free, including the early four-vent sills, and all body numbers are intact. The interior is also mostly original including carpet and door cards; seats were recently reupholstered in correct materials. A Clarion AM radio was installed in period, and the early chrome sliding window catches are still present.

Power comes from a numbers-matching 997cc four cylinder with dual carbs mated to a four-speed manual transmission. S-stamped Dunlop 4.5-inch wheels are wearing newer Dunlop Aquajets. This Mini has been lovingly maintained and runs and drives great. Accompanied by a Heritage Trust certificate. A true survivor with an amazing patina and a great history.
