1965 Ford Mustang Convertible
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this attractive 1965 Mustang GT convertible finished in Cobalt Blue over Parchment interior. Desirable high-performance 289 ci V8 with four-speed manual transmission. Restored to a nice driver standard in 2007 and driven just over 3,000 miles since, paint and body are good with only a few minor flaws. GT trim adds a nice touch with those signature fog lights and through-the-valance rear exhaust. Chrome 15-inch rally wheels with BFG radials complete the look.
Interior was fully restored with high-back buckets for safety, new gauges, A/C and a modern stereo hidden in the glove box (original AM radio in dash looks great but is for appearance only). VIN code "07" means this car left the factory as a coupe so we think this may have been a convertible conversion done years ago (but certainly to a very professional standard with no obvious signs). Global West subframe connectors have been added for chassis stiffening. Manual top works well; there is a small tear on the driver's side rear, but the last two owners have kept the car garaged and only driven it on nice-weather days so they only closed the top in the event of a surprise rain shower.
A-code four-barrel 289 was rebuilt 3,100 miles ago and is mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Front disk brakes provide good stopping power and power steering makes for an easy-to-drive package. Service is up-to-date and the car is ready for its next owner to enjoy. All engine rebuild and restoration records are included with the sale.
This presents a unique opportunity to get into a well optioned, good driver '65 Mustang vert at an attractive price point. For more information about this 1965 Mustang Convertible for sale at Motorcar Studio in Atlanta, please call 404-692-5250.
