1975 Mercedes-Benz 450SL

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1975 Mercedes-Benz 450SL. Finished in Ikon Gold Metallic over Tobacco leather interior, it's an attractive color combination not often seen. Shows to a nice driver standard inside and out -- brown canvas soft top is nearly new and the original hard top is in good condition. This 107 was sold new by Atlanta Classic Cars back when they were located on Church Street in Decatur; it's been in the Atlanta area ever since. The current owner, a retired university professor, bought it in 1995 with right at 45k miles (records support the current mileage of just over 101k). It's been garaged and very well maintained since, with stacks of service receipts totaling tens of thousands of dollars.

Recent service within the last 10,000 miles includes timing chains, tensioners and guides, valve adjustment, valve cover gaskets, full tune-up, motor mounts, transmission reseal, new flex disks, alternator, starter, brake pads and rotors, plus a new A/C compressor and receiver drier. The front end was rebuilt (along with a new subframe) around 30k miles ago.

The car starts, runs and drives well and the A/C is blowing cold. All factory manuals, stamped service book, two keys, both convertible top handles with pouch, factory jack and tools, plus 23 years' worth of service records are included with the sale.
