1973 BMW 3.0CS

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1973 BMW 3.0 CS
coupe. Amazon Green over tan leather, four-speed manual transmission, air
conditioning. The car presents in "barn find" condition inside and
out, but is remarkably straight, solid and complete. Owner moved from New York
to South Carolina in the late 1980s; this BMW has been off the road and stored
indoors since the early 1990s.  Indicated
mileage is just over 52,000 (we believe the actual mileage is 152k).

Evidence of prior repairs in the front floor pans, and some
crustiness in the left rear floor drain plug, but the shock towers, rockers and
trunk bottom are quite solid. The body itself is also very straight and solid
(including fenders and doors), with good panel gaps. Bumpers and trim are dent-free
but showing some patina and light pitting. The car comes with both the
Alpina-style wheels currently fitted and a complete set of five alloy coupe
wheels. Both sets need refinishing.

Interior is original -- a proper cleaning and leather conditioning
would bring it back to a driver-quality standard. Although some patina would
remain, the carpet, door panels and headliner should clean up fairly well as
there are no tears or obvious stains. Dash is nice. Owner's manual and mostly
complete tool kit included.

The engine turns freely by hand and with the starter when
connected to a battery, but every mechanical system on this car will need
service and/or restoration as it has been sitting for more than 20 years. Zenith
carbs. Note the torsion bar for the hood is not currently installed, but loose
in the trunk.

Since this E9 is so original and unmolested, it's a great
platform to take in any direction you like -- turn it into a driver for minimal
cost, embark on a full restoration, or build a hot-rod CSL tribute.
