1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this very nice 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera G50 coupe. This 911 is offered out of the collection of a meticulous owner who has added 3,200 miles since his purchase in 2016. Showing just under 74,000 documented miles, it presents as an unmodified and well-cared-for example throughout.

Finished in Grand Prix White over black leather interior with coco mats, this Carrera was optioned with a raised hub steering wheel, Blaupunkt Reno radio, central locking, 16-inch Fuchs wheels, cruise control, factory alarm, and sunroof. It is accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity which confirms a numbers-matching engine and transmission -- also included are the original window sticker, books, tools, original sales literature and extra factory keys. A binder of organized records (over three inches thick) contains the complete service history dating to 1989.

A top-end engine rebuild and clutch replacement was completed under current ownership by Autometrics in Charleston in 2017 at a cost of over $12,000. A complete suspension refresh was also completed under current ownership which included Bilstein HDs, all bushings, ball joints, torsion bars, turbo tie rods, etc. The underside is easily among the cleanest and driest we have seen. Fuchs wheels have been professionally refinished under present ownership and are wearing Michelin tires.

A Clean CarFax report shows no accidents and consistent mileage readings dating to 1990. Mostly original paint which presents very well (paint meter readings indicate that only the left fender has been repainted, with some blending into the driver's door). Likewise the original interior shows very little wear with supple leather seating surfaces and excellent dash. It runs and drives as good as it looks. It is rare to find such a correct and well-maintained example, and this G50 Carrera checks all the right boxes for the enthusiast collector.
