1930 Model A Deluxe Coupe
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1930 Model A five-window rumble-seat coupe. This Model A underwent a comprehensive restoration about five years ago and has been driven just under 1,000 miles since. Attractively finished in two-tone blue with black fenders and running boards, plus straw wire wheels and pinstriping. Excellent paint quality over a straight and solid all-steel body with no known rust. Bumpers, grille shell, trim and glass are all in very good condition.
Interior presents nicely with a subtle blue pinstripes on the seat and door panels. Headliner is finished in grey mohair with blue trim panels elsewhere. Two-tone steel dash. Factory gauges are working properly and the correct pop-out ignition switch is fitted. Horn and lights operate normally. The rumble seat is covered in vinyl (fabric wasn't used from the factory in case it gets wet).
Under the hood is Ford's venerable Model A engine (a 3.3 liter / 200 cubic inch flathead four cylinder) mated to a three-speed manual transmission. The drivetrain was rebuilt when this car was restored and it starts, runs and drives well. A Model A is among the easiest pre-war cars to own thanks to excellent aftermarket parts and service support, and this one certainly garners lots of thumbs ups and positive attention (especially for passengers riding in the rumble seat).
